What is the Effective Promise?

We promise to install your boiler to the highest industry standards and in doing so we will maximise the efficiency of your homes heating system and life expectancy of your boiler.

The cost of energy has risen sharply in recent years which has increased the demand for efficient home heating that provides maximum comfort at minimum cost. To gain greater efficiency, modern-day boilers have become very complex but with this complexity comes more risk that something can go wrong. Understanding what a boiler needs to cope with makes it easy to understand what should be done during the installation to reduce the risk that something will fail, maximising the boilers efficiency and extending the life of the boiler making the whole process as cost-effective as possible.

To achieve The Effective Promise, we have devised 6 steps to make sure that we continue to deliver an outstanding overall service at a fair price. Below we explain how we provide our industry-leading process.

The boiler is just one element of a cost-effective heating system and so we have a friendly team all focused on ensuring that your new boiler is right for your home and that you understand how to get the best out of it.

Our experienced advisors will help you choose the correct size boiler and help you in identifying and removing any risk areas in your current homes set up will ensure that you get the most cost-effective heat in your home.

We will also carefully take you through how to use and most importantly look after your boiler when we install it, but should you have any questions we are always here for you to talk to.


The most important time in a boilers life is the installation. Getting this right will maximise the life of the boiler and the effectiveness of your homes heating system after it’s been installed. We regularly train our engineers on all our products and services to ensure that they always have the latest manufacturer knowledge and industry information to bring your install. Your radiators are also important to consider during installation and if left unchecked, can negatively impact your home’s heating. Our engineers will then check your radiators and make any required adjustment to balance the system ensuring an even level of heat throughout your home.


In many installations, we are installing a new boiler to an existing system. During constant heating, cooling and circulation of water around your radiators and pipes eroded debris forms and can build up in various areas of your system. Not only can this impact the efficiency of how the boiler heats this dirty water, but the deposits can impact the effectiveness of your radiators and ease at which water flows around your system. Radiators that aren’t performing place greater strain on your boiler, a boiler under strain is not efficient and can shorten its life expectancy and will also cost you more on your energy bills. By performing an industry leading cleaning cycle, we will flush out the existing debris so that the hot water can travel around your home with minimum resistance and your radiators will be hot from top to bottom.

This process combines both market leading chemical agitator as well as a process that physically vibrates the radiators to loosen as much debris as practicably possible. The precision agitator removes more sludge in 20 seconds than can be extracted in 30 minutes without it. It even shifts hardened debris, reducing the need to remove radiators to completely clean the system or in some situations replace the radiators.

The loosened debris is then caught and removed from your system. If you’re interested ask one of our engineers to show just how much comes out!


Once your heating has been installed correctly and your system fully cleaned it’s important to reduce the rate at which new debris forms to a minimum. We do this by adding a market leading Adey inhibitor to your systems water so that it is kept as clean as possible for as long as possible.

The last step is to fit a MagnaClean filter to catch and hold any future sludge that will inevitably start to form over time. Keeping your system clean will place minimum strain on your boiler extending its life and will ensure that your radiators are as effective as possible transferring heat generated into your room.


It’s easy for anyone to say that they have installed your boiler to the highest standard, but we want to prove it. We take a sample of water from your system after it has been installed cleaned and protected and send it off to a lab to test the that the water is clean enough and that the right level of inhibitor has been added. The certificate will detail that your system has passed the water test. Along with the certificate, you will also receive recommended actions based on the water quality, ensuring thorough protection.

This extra step doesn’t change what we’ve done, but if the lab test reveals that your install is not quite right, we can come back and make the necessary changes so that it is giving both you and us peace of mind that we have done everything we can to give your boiler the best start in life. A dedicated online portal means results can be displayed within just a short amount of time after receiving the sample.


Finally, on all our Effective Promise installs we want to ensure that come a year later, that everything we did is still working as intended, so we will come back and provide the first service for free. This service won’t just include the standard check of your boiler, but will also remove any debris that the MagnaClean filter has collected that would have otherwise settled in your system. From then on, all boilers need an annual service and we’re not in the business of taking away customer choice, so you are free to use any engineer to service your boiler from then on, but we’ll still be here should you need assistance accessing any manufacture warranty, advice or indeed carry out your annual service. We don’t aim to be the cheapest, we aim to provide you with the most cost-effective heating system that works when you need it.


Please be aware that the Effective Promise doesn’t apply to customers who qualify under the ECO scheme. The Effective Promise is available as an upgrade for ECO funded customers but comes as standard on all other installs.
